ON semiconductor (ON semiconductor, NASDAQ: ON), which promotes energy-efficient innovation, has been included in the Bloomberg Gender Equality Index (GEI). ON Semiconductor was shortlisted this year because its score was higher than the global threshold set by Bloomberg, demonstrating its high level of disclosure and overall performance in the five pillar framework, including: female leadership and talent pool, equal pay and gender pay equality, inclusive culture, and sexual harassment Policies and brands that respect women.
2020 GEI includes 325 companies in 50 industries, and ON Semiconductor is one of them. A wide range of industries are involved, including automotive, banking, consumer services, engineering and construction, and retail.
Keith Jackson, President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of ON Semiconductor, said: “It is an honor to lead such a company and strive for gender equality in today’s competitive market and the world we live in. Celebrate at ON Semiconductor. On the 20th anniversary of the initial public offering (IPO), this is not only a recognition that we have reached our goals, but also a milestone in the development of the company.”
Alicia Scott, Director of Diversity and Inclusion and Talent Management at ON Semiconductor, said: “At ON Semiconductor, we work hard every day to integrate diversity and inclusion into all levels of the company. It is our honor to be recognized globally for the company’s gender equality work. At the same time, it also reminds our customers, shareholders, communities, and most importantly, our employees to be consistent with their words and deeds in terms of diversity and inclusion.”
GEI was launched in 2016, formerly known as the Bloomberg Financial Services Gender-Equality Index (Bloomberg Financial Services Gender-Equality Index), which tracks the financial performance of listed companies committed to supporting gender equality in policy development, representation and transparency.
Bloomberg Chairman Peter T. Grauer said: “The 325 companies included in the 2020 GEI have demonstrated a commitment to transparency and demonstrated leadership in reporting on relevant gender data. The disclosure of company statistics and practices is a global support. An important first step in gender equality.”
ON Semiconductor has been committed to diversity and inclusiveness for a long time, recognizing that the company is in the strongest position due to the extensive experience, knowledge, culture, customers and background of all employees. The company celebrates these differences and has established an inclusive work environment for more than 35,000 employees in more than 160 locations around the world.
