As the number one in the domestic semiconductor industry, Huawei HiSilicon has continued to expand its share in recent years with Kirin and other chips. In the list of the top ten global semiconductors for the first half of 2020 released by IC Insights recently, HiSilicon’s revenue surged 49% and entered the top ten.

According to IC Insights data, the revenue of the top 10 vendors in the first half of this year all exceeded US$5.2 billion, an average increase of 17% over the revenue of the top 10 in the first half of last year, and the increase was much higher than the average 5% level of the semiconductor industry, the latter being the latter More than three times as much.

Among the TOP10 vendors, Intel ranked first with a revenue of $38.951 billion, a year-on-year increase of 22%.

Samsung ranked second with 29.75 billion U.S. dollars in revenue, a year-on-year increase of 12%.

It is worth mentioning that from 2017 to 2018, Samsung took the position of the first semiconductor company with the price increase of memory and flash memory, and took away the throne of Intel for 25 consecutive years, but now Intel is back to number one.

TSMC ranked third with 20.717 billion U.S. dollars in revenue, a 40% year-on-year increase.

The 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th places are SK Hynix, Micron, Broadcom and Qualcomm respectively. The 1st to 7th places have not changed. The main reason is that revenue growth or decline. Broadcom is the only one that has dropped 3%.

Among the bottom three in the TOP10, NVIDIA squeezed TI into eighth with a 40% revenue increase, Ti became ninth, and revenue fell 9%.

The tenth place is Huawei HiSilicon Hisilcon, which ranked 16th last year. In the first half of this year, its revenue reached 5.22 billion U.S. dollars, a year-on-year increase of 49%. It was the fastest growing among the TOP10 and the first domestic semiconductor to enter the TOP10.

According to the development of Huawei HiSilicon in recent years, it is normal to enter the TOP5 in the next few years. However, IC Insights said that this single seedling may not stay in the TOP10 for too long.

Everyone knows the reason. In the future, HiSilicon’s life will become more and more difficult, but Yu Chengdong has already stated that Huawei will still take root in the semiconductor industry. This will be a new beginning.
