(NASDAQ: XLNX), a global leader in adaptive and intelligent computing, today announced two new Xilinx automotive-grade (XA) devices, the Zynq® UltraScale+® MPSoC 7EV and 11EG, further Enriching its automotive-grade 16nm product lineup. The two new devices offer the highest level of programmability, performance and I/O capabilities, providing high-speed data aggregation, preprocessing for L2+ to L4 advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) applications and autonomous driving (AD) applications and distribution (DAPD) functions and computational acceleration functions. With these two new product announcements, Xilinx now offers the world’s highest level of silicon integration, from small devices supporting edge sensors to new high-performance devices for centralized domain controllers. The new XA Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC 7EV and 11EG devices were developed in response to customer demand. The new device offers more than 650,000 programmable logic cells and nearly 3,000 DSP cells, a 2.5-fold increase over the previous largest device. In addition, XA 7EV has built-in video codec unit for h.264/h.265 codec, while XA 11EG has built-in 32 12.5Gb/s transceivers and provides 4 PCIe? Gen3x16 modules. The addition of these two high-performance devices to Xilinx’s automotive and product portfolio enables automakers, robo-taxi developers, and Tier 1 suppliers to perform DAPD and compute acceleration within a power consumption envelope, enabling scalability production deployment of autonomous vehicles.

XA Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC Portfolio Qualified to AEC-Q100 Test Specification, Integrated Xilinx Programmable Logic, ASIL-C Qualified Low-Power Domain, Feature-Rich 64-Bit Quad-Core Arm® Cortex ??-A53 and dual-core Arm Cortex-R5 processing system. Combining these capabilities, coupled with the robust data throughput provided by the new devices, could accelerate the deployment of autonomous vehicles.
