You may not be very familiar with Blue Origin. This is a commercial space company founded by the world’s richest man and Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos. They recently announced a project to build a commercial space station, an orbiting reef, located in the low-Earth orbit of the earth. Currently, companies such as Boeing, Redwire Space, Genesis Engineering Solutions, and Arizona State University are all involved in the project.
According to the plan, the orbital reef will open a new space business model. The orbital reef will be a commercial space station, allowing anyone, companies and institutions to rent space on it to carry out commercial activities, research projects and residence (good guys, there is a taste of space real estate). And they will provide one-stop services such as transportation and equipment provision. (The implication is that as long as you pay enough money, you can go to space to play)
As a project participant, Redwire will provide the Blue Origin Orbital Reef Space Station3D printingservice. This service includes two aspects, one is3D printingParts required by various orbital reefs. On the other hand, it will be deployed on orbital reefs in the future3D printingFunction.
