) is aggressively expanding its additive manufacturing business. As announced last year, the high-tech company will acquire the entire stake in the joint venture TRUMPF SISMA SRL from its Italian partner SISMA SpA. Currently, TRUMPF holds a 55% stake in TRUMPF SISMA.

In addition to the sale of the joint venture and its own laser metal melting (LMF) business, SISMA will focus on the jewelry and fashion industries in the future, and promote the distribution of TRUMPF laser metal melting (LMF) equipment in these markets.

TRUMPF SISMA was established in 2014 as a joint venture. Its headquarters are located in Schio, northern Italy.About 60 employees are engaged in laser metal melting (LMF) based technology3D printingEquipment development and production work.
The acquisition is expected to close by the end of 2021. The companies have not provided further details at this time.
