According to Materialise, the move will allow3D printingStep out of the realm of specialized engineering departments of aerospace companies and into procurement. Therefore, it is desirable to purchase3D printingMRO of components will make it easier to obtain the technology.
Proponent CEO Andrew Todhunter said: “3D printingRepresents an opportunity to help our OEM and supplier partners become more efficient in their supply chain and complements our inventory distribution model. Producing custom parts or small batches through AM gives us the opportunity to source on demand, be sustainable, and avoid high minimum order quantities. Our customers get what they need when they need it, and OEMs avoid the cost and risk of manufacturing those parts. “
