Stratasys recently announced
Oqton
Working with Riven to continue expanding GrabCAD®
software
Partner Program. Oqton is a cloud production operating system company based in Ghent, Belgium; Riven provides 3D
simulation
Smart Digital Manufacturing Technology, headquartered in Berkeley, California.
The GrabCAD Software Partner Program is part of the recently launched GrabCAD Additive Manufacturing Platform, which will integrate GrabCAD applications and third-party GrabCAD software partners through the GrabCAD Software Development Kit (SKD). Stratasys aims to create an open, enterprise-grade platform that enables3D printingTwo-way connectivity between machines, additive manufacturing and enterprise applications, and more Industry 4.0 infrastructure.
The new additions to GrabCAD software partners allow us to provide more technologies available through the GrabCAD additive manufacturing platform and help our customers achieve their goal of creating a connected ecosystem to facilitate the development of additive manufacturing at scale. We welcome both partners and look forward to continuing to expand the program to support our customers in their Industry 4.0 goals.
–Paul Giaconia, Vice President of Software Products, Stratasys
Oqton provides users with a machine-independent cloud-based software platform that leverages artificial intelligence to automate repetitive tasks and uses IoT intelligence to automate end-to-end additive manufacturing processes on and off the production floor, including order tracking, scheduling , lattice fabrication, print preparation and slicing. Purpose-built for additive manufacturing, the solution allows users to easily create real-time dashboards and automated reports to optimize their manufacturing processes and speed time-to-market.
Our solutions enable seamless human-machine collaboration – the key to manufacturing success. With our software, customers can combine and view data from different machines, different manufacturers and different technologies. By partnering with Stratasys, we can help our mutual customers successfully automate production.
–Benjamin Schrauwen Oqton, CEO
Also joining the GrabCAD Partner Program is Riven, an open cloud software company specializing in 3D simulation intelligence that facilitates the mass production of high-precision end-of-line AM parts. Riven software uses scanned 3D simulation data and proprietary algorithms to allow engineering and manufacturing teams to reduce iterations and part machining time while improving the customer experience.
Riven has introduced the Warp-Adapted-Model (WAM™) feature, which enables different additive manufacturing techniques (including parts printed from CAD software) to
FDM
®, powder bed fusion and stereolithography) to print production parts with 2 to 10 times greater accuracy. Whether it’s a unique high-priced part or a mass-produced part, WAM can be used, and some exciting new end-applications are also available with this capability.
We agreed with Stratasys that additive manufacturing technology can only reach its full potential if production parts are delivered quickly to specification. Riven’s next-generation predictive machine learning technology enables customers to obtain higher quality parts and shorten production lead times.
