In order to obtain the desired finish,3D printingParts usually require post-treatment, such as sanding, chemical treatment and primer. High-cost, time-consuming and labor-intensive post-processing is an area of development where AM demand is strong.Nowadays, there are used in the market for coloring, smoothing and strengthening3D printingAutomated flow of parts.
Tru-Design focuses on adding coatings to manufactured products on a large area. Tru-Design and Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) have developed a series of special coatings to meet the needs of polymer substrates for various large printers. Its surface treatment and vacuum integrity coating technology have won two R&D 100 awards.
All coating products are designed for3D printingDesigned for the working surface of terminal parts and manufacturing tools, with extremely high adhesion. Its high-strength thermosetting TD coating can be applied one inch thick to cover3D printingThe “corduroy” texture of the object. For high-temperature vacuum service, TD Seal can be used for autoclave processes and carbon fiber prepreg tools up to 176°C. The latest TD sand high-strength primer can hide higher-resolution printed textures at room temperature or as high as 176C.
“Our products are designed to improve customer3D printingThe performance of the tool, and provide a wider range of aesthetic options for large-scale printing products. “Tru-Design CEO Rick Spears said.
