Common PDR technology uses metal rods or body picks to push out the dents from the underside of the body panel. Since its invention in 1960, the PDR tool industry has relied on this restriction technology, which only provides a single point of contact with the vehicle.
Duane Langenfeld, located in Rapid City, South Dakota, has been using PDR to repair vehicles since 1994. With extensive experience in the industry, Langenfeld realized that PDR tools were inefficient. In order to find a solution that may provide higher output for his PDR workshop, Langenfeld developed his own process to provide more points of contact with the vehicle, and established Ding Tool in 2018 to convert his ideas from the concept Used in tool production.
